Furla launches exclusive in-flight collection

Premium accessories brand Furla used this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific & Gate ONE2ONE Exhibition to launch its first exclusive in-flight collection.

“We decided to develop an in-flight collection based on discussions we have had with airlines and concessionaires during the last year,” says Furla Head of Travel Retail, Gerry Munday. “There was clearly a requirement for a special line, so we’re delighted to now be officially launching this here in Singapore.”

Furla's folding bag

The in-flight collection comprises seven items with products for women, men and unisex. The women’s range includes an onyx colored folding bag in nylon with Nappa Calf trim, shoulder strap and detachable Furla heart. Suggested retail price in Asia is US$160. The women’s purse is available in onyx or cherry. The Saffiano leather purse has a detachable gilt linked shoulder strap, and suggested retail price in Asia is US$130. A scarf made from silk and bamboo, comes in three colorways: onyx, cherry and dove grey. Two sizes are offered, a square 90X90 cm (35X35 in.) or long 53X150 cm (21X59 in.), respectively at US$110 and US$135 suggested Asia retail price.

The unisex travel wallet comes in onyx or cherry and is made from Saffiano leather. It is designed to cover traveler need with space for boarding pass, currency and credit cards. Suggested retail price in Asia is US$110.

On the men’s side, an eight credit card wallet with internal pockets or a four credit card wallet with coin purse are available, both are offered in onyx Saffiano leather. Suggested retail price in Asia is US$130. The men’s adjustable/reversible belt has two buckles in calf leather in an onyx and coffee colour combination. Suggested retail in Asia is US$130.

All items will be packed in window packaging, shrink-wrapped and bar coded in line with airline requirements.

Asia Pacific is a core region in travel retail for Furla, representing approximately 40% of the company’s business in the category, and Head of Travel Retail Gerry Munday says in-flight offers significant potential for the brand. “It’s a concise collection at a highly commercial price and we’re really excited about introducing it.”
